Simple Broccoli Cheddar soup

Mix 2 cups of milk or half and half with four cups of chicken broth then add slurry if you choose to make one. Add broccoli and simmer for about 15 minutes, then turn heat down to low and add shredded cheese.
Notes:
I like to use a slurry of equal parts cold water and corn starch as well to thicken it up but itโ€™s not necessary, I just like mine super thick ๐Ÿ˜Š also make sure to melt the cheese on low to avoid a grainy texture
